Join us for an immersive and uplifting experience as we dive into the world of yoga and into ourselves. From Asana to Pranayama, from sound workshops to healthy cooking in the country kitchen of beautiful Poundon house. The weekend will nourish us from the inside out – expect to relax, enjoy, connect, experience & flourish. We will share a weekend full of magical moments. For you to leave with a wealth of new experiences, fully connected with your Self and charged with the Spring energy.

 

Your retreat location – make yourself at home

Poundon House is the ideal location for a yoga retreat. The Queen Anne style country house is stunning and spacious; set within six acres of landscaped gardens on the edge of the Oxfordshire- Buckinghamshire border, one hour drive or 45 minutes on a train from Paddington, West London.

 

Once you arrive at Poundon, you will feel immediately at home. Whether it is settling down in front of a roaring open fire, taking a long bath in one of the unique bathrooms or going for a quiet walk in the apple orchard. For over a century Poundon has been the perfect place to escape the bustle of city life and be at one with the countryside.

Downstairs there are three large reception rooms and a library. The second and third floors feature nine guest bedrooms, all are spacious double (or twin) bedrooms. Keeping true to the original design, the bedrooms are luxurious and large. There are five bathrooms shared between the nine bedrooms. White towelling dressing gowns and Organic Surge products will ensure that your stay is extra comfortable. Single occupancy can also be arranged. Please see Costs for Retreat below.

This is YOUR retreat – do as much or as little as you wish

We are very excited to create this retreat weekend for you and it is our utmost desire to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Once you’ve arrived you don’t need to worry about anything at all. You will experience morning and afternoon yoga practices, diverse enough to give you a wide experience of how yoga can make you feel. Expect to nourish your bellies and souls with home made vegetarian food cooked by our very own retreat chef Sophie. Breakfasts, lunches, dinners and afternoon treats are served in the yellow dining room where we will all gather round one big table.

Costs for retreat:

  • Singing early bird OFFER – Book until November the 31st
    £395pp in a twin room or two sharing a double bedroom; or
    £545 for solo occupancy in your own double room
  • Regular prices
    £450pp in a twin room or two sharing a double bedroom; or
    £605 for solo occupancy in your own double room

What’s included in your all-inclusive retreat?

  • A two-night, weekend retreat at luxurious private venue Poundon House, set in its beautiful 6 acre garden in Oxfordshire.
  • Daily yoga practices. A welcome ceremony will ease us into the weekend, morning Asana flows (wake up & energise with Dani and power flow with Alva), yoga Nidra, Sound bath, Sunday morning asana and a closing ceremony.
  • Choose from 3 activities on Saturday afternoon:
    – Join Alva for an interactive sound workshop in one of the big drawing rooms round the fire. Immerse yourself in meditation, the sounds of Tibetan singing bowls, the gong and many more instruments from far afield.
    – Join Dani for a hands-on cooking workshop in the country kitchen where we will look at how we can make healthy cooking quick, family friendly & tasty.
    – Join our Karma Yogi Tamara on a walk across the fields for a Zen meditative walk or simply a leisurely time soaking up the country air.
  • Healthy and nourishing vegetarian food and snacks by our wonderful and experienced retreat chef Sophie.
  • Enjoy our tea bar round the clock, choose from a wide range of teas including herbal teas.
  • Support from Alva, Dani & Tamara.

What to bring – time to get cosy

Poundon House will be heated for the duration of your stay, however, please note that as a large country house without the latest central heating it is wise to bring a warm jumper.
You do not need to bring your yoga mat (but of course you can if you wish).
We have blocks and belts too. We advise two outfits of comfortable sports clothes for the yoga classes, warm socks or slippers are a good idea too.
Bring an outdoor jacket, waterproofs and walking boots or wellies for our country walks.
Poundon House have a Library full of books but please do bring that book you have been meaning to read.
Last but not least, a refillable water bottle and a keep cup come in handy too!
